Visualizing Health Innovation in MENA

Live Graphic Facilitation for IDRC Workshop in Amman | December 2015

In Amman, I joined a two-day workshop hosted by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada, focused on advancing digital health innovation across the Middle East and North Africa.

Turning Research into Insight

As researchers and policy experts discussed challenges in health systems, data governance, gender equity, and CRVS (civil registration and vital statistics), I captured key concepts live through illustrated visual summaries. From maternal health and adolescent care to ethical data use, the visuals helped distill big ideas into engaging, shareable formats.

A highlight was designing a multi-panel cube summarizing health challenges and digital tools—sparking interaction and deeper dialogue among participants.

Why It Mattered

This project supported cross-sector collaboration around urgent public health goals. My live scribing made the content more accessible and memorable, empowering experts to connect ideas and spot patterns in real time.
